Group Details
Where: Westenfield Park Biking Club (2008 Enfield Road, 78703)
Who: AYF Biking Clubs are for kids in Kinder - 5th grade who can bike without training wheels, start/stop on their own, and have maneuvering and control skills. The first day of the session is dedicated to introducing safe biking practices and the "Rules of the Road.” If your child is still using training wheels or a balance bike, our "Beginner Biking Club" would be a great fit!
When: Biking Club meets after school on Fridays from 3:30 to 5pm.
Add On: This group has the option of meeting coaches at Bryker Woods or Casis at school dismissal and biking to the park with a coach. Pick-up is at Westenfield.
Fall 2024 Dates:
Session 2: October 18 - December 6 (no class 11/1 & 11/29)
Spring 2025 Dates:
Session 1: January 31 - March 7
Session 2: March 28 - May 9 (no class 4/18)

Group Structure
Biking Club Structure: In AYF Biking Club kids go on a new adventure each week, and learn different routes through their school neighborhood, with the rides progressing gradually from 2-6 miles over the 6-week session. Biking is an important developmental skill, as well as a LIFE skill, and our goal is to help kids discover the JOY that biking brings, as they work to improve. AYF “makes fitness fun,” and so does biking!
